Anti Tangle Filament Clip

This anti tangle clip is for use both during print and storage. When printing, this clip will stop the filament from jumping out of the spool by guiding the filament continously and preventing it from achieving any elevation. It works by simply gliding along the spool without friction when printing.

It is dirt cheap and requires no assembly or other time consuming activity to get it ready for use. Requires only 9 grams of filament to print, so you can print one for every spool.

When storing the filament, snap the filament end into the slit to prevent it from jumping of the filament roll during storage.

Because the end is angled, you must print with support. Check the images for a visual view of the supports and I've also included all the support settings. These settings made the filament pop of perfectly leaving the trees left on the build plate.

EDIT 2025-12-23: Added a new version that's 1,5cm longer and has a 40 degree angle on the guiding end instead of 25. Use the one that's best for your filament roll and runout sensor placement.
