How I print?
I printed this on PETG, because I wanted something stronger to hold on my router while hanging on the wall. I printed on standard resolution (0.20mm) and I enabled support. I print it laying on the bed on the back (longer side)
The Story
I like Asus Routers, and on this Black Friday season, a pair of GT6 were at great price, so I purchase couple of those for churches I help locally.
These routers do not have any holes for mounting them on wall or ceiling, so I look for those on Printables, Thingiverse and MakerWorld, I fail to find models that I could download to print (besides someone is selling some on Ebay)
I ask a friend of mine to help me create a mount and he most probably got inspiration on the version from EBay (not sure about this). Bottom line I receive a nice model, a bit taller so the router was not stable captured by the mount. I modified my Friend's provided model by reducing the length on 1.5mm and altering the shape of the top tabs that retain the router to be in alignment with the 45-degree angle of the top transparent acrylic of the routers.
This is the result of modifying the model that my friend gave me, and it works nicely and I feel confident this work as wall mount. I do guess (just guess, I have not tested or would test it) it MAY work for ceiling mount as well
Updated versions
I have added 2 additional STLs
v2 have some reinforcement on each of the 4 arms. Also added 2 small spaces on the top and bottom of the model, so a tie wrap can be used to further secure the router if you need
v3 is similar than v2, but Just added additional reinforcement for the lower part of the piece
