Disclaimer: this model is a prop gun that does not shoot anything
Before you start, you will need the following hardware:
1x tension spring, similar to McMaster Carr 7749N061
2x 1/8"x3/8" compressive spring, similar to McMaster Carr 9657K263
2x M3 x 6-8mm SCHS (Prusa printer kits have extra)
1x M3S nut (Prusa printer kits have extra)
1x M4 x 6-12mm FHCS
3x 6x2mm round magnets
1x 4x8mm dowel pin (optional)
And the following tools:
Metric hex screwdrivers (included in Prusa printer kits)
1x M3 thread tap
1x M4 thread tap
your choice of strong glue
Some parts print best with supports, brims, or special settings. Refer to the provided sliced files for specific settings.
A 0.25 Nozzle is recommended for printing the medallions
Please consider printing the tip of the barrel in bright orange
Print parts as indicated in the sliced files. Remove supports and brims, and sand the part interfaces as necessary. Always test fit parts before applying glue.
Insert the M3S nut into the rectangular gap in the receiver, along with two 6mm pins. Glue the receiver halves together.
Create an M4 thread in the front of Slide Front. Create an M3 thread on the bottom side. Attach and glue Slide Back with a rectangular alignment pin.
Attach the tension spring to the bottom of the slide, secured with an M3 screw. Insert another M3 screw through the other loop, and guide it into the hole in the receiver with a hex key. Tighten the screw. The slide should move back and forth smoothly.
Pull the slide back slightly, and insert the Slide Cap. Secure it with an M4 FHCS screw. The slide cap prevents the slide from being pulled back too far. It is removable so you can replace the spring if needed.
Slide a 4mm round pin into the hole in the trigger, and mount the trigger into Grip L. Insert a spring into Button L, and place it into the gap in Grip L. Also place one 6mm and one 4mm pin.
Place two 6mm magnets into the half circle cavity in Grip L. Mark a third magnet on the side that is attracted to the first two.
Glue Grip R to Grip L. Be sure to hold them tightly together so the spring in Button L does not force them apart.
Assemble the magazine halves, using 6mm pins to guide alignment. Insert the pull handle into the end of the magazine body. Glue the last 6mm magnet to the hole in the top of the magazine, marked side pointing outwards.
Insert a compression spring into Trigger Spring Block. Insert trigger spring block, and a rectangular alignment pin into the receiver. Glue the receiver to the grip. Hold the assembly together so the springs do not force the assembly apart.
Attach rectangular alignment pins to the top of the receiver, then glue the sights in place.
Glue to the medallions into the grip.
Insert an alignment pin into the trigger, and glue it to the receiver.
