Description

Modular scope protector designed to protect your scope or collimator from impacts. Features a slot for a protective lens (I recommend polycarbonate). Compatible with all round scopes and collimators and easy to print without supports.

I needed a cover for my Vector Optics Scraper collimator (outer tube diameter 36 mm) and my acrylic glass had a diameter of 28 mm, so I chose the dimensions accordingly.
If your collimator or acrylic glass has different dimensions, you can easily adjust the dimensions of the model in the attached .f3d file, or contact me and I will upload a new version with your dimensions.

How to adjust the dimensions of the model?

1.Measure the outer diameter of the tube on which you will mount the model and the diameter of your protective glass.

2.Enter the measured values in the places marked in the picture.

3.Export and print the model (I recommend PETG or another more durable material).

4.Carefully polish the collimator and protective glass before placing it.

5.If the protective glass does not stay in place, you can use glue or a hot glue gun.

When measuring, keep tolerances in mind. No printer is perfectly accurate when printing. For example, I used a zero tolerance on the tube so that the cap would hold firmly in place even without glue, and a 0.5mm tolerance on the protective glass so that it could be easily inserted into place.

Polished polycarbonate glass almost does not impair visibility through the collimator, unlike killflash which is often used for protection against BBs.

The only difference is in the sharpness of the photo (my phone refuses to focus through the collimator sorry)
