Description
Organic Support Treehouse Bench is a playful tribute to organic supports and what they can become when we use them creatively. Instead of treating supports as “waste,” this model turns them into the main feature: a stylized, tree-like structure that holds a simple, easy-to-print treehouse.
The idea is to showcase how organic supports can generate beautiful, natural shapes with very little time and material. The model is intentionally simple in the house geometry, making it easier than a classic benchmark boat while still being a fun, iconic print you can scale up or down.
You can also add a thin string from the porch down to the ground for extra realism, and I included a printable ladder to complete the climb-up look.
On my print, the full model reached about 11.5 cm in height and took roughly 2.5 hours, which highlights the main charm of this approach: big visual impact with surprisingly short print times.
Small details & concept
Minimal, blocky treehouse with no thin fragile parts.
A small front porch.
A tiny post near the door, designed to optionally hold a short string/rope for a “climb-up” vibe (no rope included).
A root-like base for a grounded, finished look.
An optional simple pot/base element you can print in a second color for contrast.
How to customize the “tree”
The organic trunk/branches are meant to vary based on your slicer settings. If you want a look close to mine, try:
Maximum Branch Angle: 50°
Preferred Branch Angle: 45°
Feel free to experiment: small changes in these values can create noticeably different “organic tree” shapes, making each print slightly unique.
Color suggestion
A warm wood-like brown for the main piece looks great, with a contrasting color for the pot if you choose to print it separately.
I’d love to see your variations—especially different branch styles and color combos. If you enjoy the concept, please like, download, and add it to a collection to support my design journey. Enjoy!
