Description
Looking to add a little bit of vintage flair to your Christmas cards this year? This easy to print project makes creating vintage inspired Christmas cards fun for the entire family!
Step 1: Print the postcard printing frame and plate mounting block from PLA - 20% infill.
Step 2: Print the printing frame cushion from TPU - 10 to 15% infill, you want this to be a little squishy!
Step 3: Insert the printing frame cushion into the postcard printing frame, it should be a tight friction fit.
Step 4: Print your favorite printing plate, 3 are provided or create one of your own. If you are creating your own, don't forget to mirror the design! 20% infill for the plate printed I used TPU, but PLA will also work.
Step 5: Mount your printing plate onto the printing plate mounting block. I used 3M Super 77 contact adhesive. This makes it possible to easily remove and re-use the mounting block for different designs.
Step 6: Use a brayer roller to spread your printing ink on the printing plate. Brayer roller and ink can be found at your craft /art shop. Mount your cardstock in the bottom of the printing frame.
Step 7: Align your mounting block with the printing frame and press hard. The printing frame is slightly larger than the printing plate to prevent binding.
Step 8: Drop those cards in the mail and enjoy the satisfaction of having handmade your own Christmas Postcards!
