Centauri Carbon lightweight Cowling

Who is this for

It is for those seeking a different style Toolhead design that is still compliant to the stock parts as this allows upgrading just the front, back or middle piece or a various combination of the 3. All 3 parts are lighter then their stock counterparts. It introduces some small upgrades reducing rattle coming from the cowling itself.

stock cowling(just plastic parts): 80g
this shroud: 55g(petg), ~44g(asaCF)

What you need(BOM)

• 2x 6x3mm magnets

• rest is all stock hardware carried over

• for assembly

  • flush cutter/knife for support removal

  • drop of glue for the magnets

Print Recommendations

• because of heat deflection - min. petg better petgf/asacf or similar

• 2 Walls ~0.4 Linewidth

• 4 Top / 2-3 bottom layer

• Arachne recommended

• support and Brim required for "Mid" Cowling Part

• recommended to print parts individually

Supports

Some Support is already builtin. Please remove slowly with help of a knife or flush-cutter. Additionally its recommended to add slicer supports for the marked(in green) areas of the Mid Part. The other parts dont necessarily need supports or a brim.
