Who wouldn't love Minecraft? And who wouldn't love to have a realworld piece of it at home? That was my thinking when creating this night stand lamp! I got inspired with night lamps we used to create in our Minecraft world.

First of all, to make assembly as easy as possible, I uploaded .3mf files with precut pieces and connectors as it is in my opinion a much smoother way than to tinker with them inside CAD software.

Part list is as follows:

  • Redstone Lamp Shade - ASA/ABS (ideally white when used with yellow bulb or smart bulb, yellow if used with anything other). PETG could also work but in my opinion the matte finish of ASA and higher temp resistance made it best candidate.

    • Top

    • Bottom

  • Redstone Lamp - PLA parts

    • Base - grey PLA (should be stones)

    • Leg - woody PLA (pick any wood color from MC you like)

    • Top part - little puzzle with pre-made connectors

  • Redstone Lamp - Fence

    • Optional pieces to add a little bit decor to it

From other hardware I used this bulb base: https://www.obi.cz/instalace-svitidel/kompletni-sada-pro-osvetleni-e14-bila/p/5585344?wt_mc=gs.pla.Technika.Elektroinstalace.Instalacesvitidel&wt_cc1=20798671390&wt_cc4=c&wt_cc9=156054659659&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20798671390&gbraid=0AAAAADk-hbE5ICaLSPczLeCXh7Tlk_UVS&gclid=CjwKCAiAl-_JBhBjEiwAn3rN7bKRbssS0W8qteDRAH-xiTQWo8Vqtg8gK_UnYqgehQdRUlfagq7tAxoCt0MQAvD_BwE

...and some glue + bulb itself.

Assembly is pretty straight forward:

  1. Print all parts

  2. Assemble the top cage. Glue the middle parts together and once dry, glue them to the bottom part (it has cutout for the E14 bulb base). DO NOT GLUE THE TOP PART TO IT: It's detachable to replace the bulb in case of failure.

  3. Insert the base part of shade in (box without top and with a circular hole) and alight it in the cage.

  4. Prepare the bulb base - unscrew the upper nut and push it through the cage and shade and screw back the nut.

  5. Take the two pieces of leg, prepare it's connectors and run the cable between them - then snap it together.

  6. Repeat same step with the base part. You will see a little rail in there - that's where the cable goes in.

  7. Pull the cable and "lock" the parts in place.

  8. Now you can just glue the leg to the top and base to the leg, to make it secure

  9. If you printed the fence, assemble it arround the leg and glue it to the base.

  10. Glue the remaining shade part to the top part of the top cage and voila, you are done!

I hope you like it, let me know your feedback and ideas!
