Description
This landing gear is printed in one piece with no supports (front face down on bed). It has the same rubber bands I use to hold the wing on as shock absorbtion and there is a living hinge designed into the print to allow it to flex where it connects to the plane.
1/8in or 3mm steel rod pieces are needed for reinforcement: 2x 100mm are hot glued into the channel on the leading edge to reinforce the legs. 2x ~30mm (depends on your wheel thickness) are used for axles. I heated these up with a lighter and melted them into place, but they could be glued in.
I reccomend printing in PETG for flexibility and impact resistance, PLA might be too brittle. Other filaments like Nylon or PC could be good as well.
