Description
These Paper Clamps are used instead of staples to hold pages together - offering a nice-looking binder without sharp metal points. You can use a single Paper Clamp (for example, in the upper corner) - which allows you to bend or rotate the pages to access the underlying pages. Or you can use 2 or 3 Paper Clamps (for example, using a 3-hole punch on the edge) to allow only bending pages (as with a book).
I have provided 3 thickness sizes:
* 2mm (~ 5/64") to hold up to about 16 pages of standard 24 lb printer paper
* 4mm (~ 5/32") to hold up to about 32 pages of standard 24 lb printer paper
* 6mm (~ 15/64") to hold up to about 50 pages of standard 24 lb printer paper
To use these Paper Clamps:
1 - Use a standard 1/4" paper hole punch (single hole or 3 hole type) to punch a hole(s) in the pages to be bound
2 - For each hole, insert a male and female part of the Paper Clamp on each side of the hole
3 - Press the two parts of the Paper Clamp together until it clicks shut
That's all there is to it!
The following photos show 2mm Paper Clamps holding a user guide together:
I have provided STEP (.stp) files to allow modifications to my design.
3MF files have been provided for a set of 8 Paper Clamps in each size.
These Paper Clamps can be printed in PLA, PETG, or any other filament type. They should be printed at 0.10mm to 0.15mm layer height, but they work fine even at 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle!
