Star-shaped night lamp with a soft diffuser and gently pulsing warm light, creating a calm and cozy atmosphere.
Printed parts Base and Cover
Arduino Nano
APA102 Addressable LED strip (2 LEDs)
Wires
Any USB cable + charger or power supply with 7-12V output
Print both parts from PETG. I do not recommend using PLA, as the electronics produce some heat.
Connect the LED strip to the Arduino. If your power source is exactly 5V stabilized, you can connect (+) wire directly to +5V (pin 27) instead of VIN (pin 30).
Deploy the project to Arduino. It is downloadable here in files with .ino extension. Put it into the folder with the same name.
Use an old USB cable, cut off the end, and connect only the (+) and (–) wires to the Arduino Nano.
Add cable ties to the cable end.
Insert all components into the base part. You can fix them using hot glue.
Close the lid.
Remove or cover the red LED on the Arduino, otherwise it will be distracting.
FreeCAD files are also included.
