Printable high clearance links for the Axial SCX24 micro crawler platform
Works well with both stock and custom chassis
I developed these high clearance links for my Axial SCX24 Basecamp, but they should also fit the C10, JLU, and Bronco. They are loosely based on the Injora Aluminum High Clearance Links and inspired by the SEMA links on Cults. V1 and V2 have identical footprints/outlines – the only difference is the skeletonization on the V2.
High clearance links are designed to maximize breakover clearance and minimize hangups on technical crawling obstacles while retaining the factory suspension and driveline geometry from Axial. My links provide improved clearance without binding.
These links should be printed with a .2mm nozzle for best results. The printed balls require high dimensional accuracy! Generic brass link balls can also be used. I recommend printing the links in a rigid material such as PLA+ or ABS and printing the balls in a low friction material such as PETG. The V1 is easier to print cleanly.
The loose fit balls can be used if you're struggling with the originals, but they add slop to the setup.
Brass link balls can be used in place of the printed balls. I used the Ramp Crab balls on Amazon.
Upper links should be installed in the opposite direction from the lowers, but they should clear either way.
