LED Unicorn horn hat cap - Einhorn Hut

This project is a 3D-printed horn with integrated Neopixel LEDs, designed to be mounted on a sun hat.

The horn contains:

• Neopixel LED strip for vivid lighting effects

• 18650 Li-ion battery for portable power

• Teensy 2.0 microcontroller handling automatic color-changing animations

The electronics are fully enclosed inside the horn. From the outside, only:

• a USB-C charging port

• and a small rocker switch for power

are visible, resulting in a clean and minimal appearance.

Mounting & Stability

To ensure stability and comfort when worn, a reinforcement ring is placed inside the inner brim of the sun hat.
The horn is securely fastened to this ring using:

• M3 countersunk screws

• M3 brass threaded inserts embedded in the horn

This construction distributes the load and prevents deformation of the hat during use.
