Description
After learning the basics of 3D design I decided to create this Dyson accessory adapter.
I had previously made one by remixing an existing design, but it was a hash that I bundled together in PrusaSlicer.
This time, I wanted to do it properly, so I created my own model that:
is sturdy
fits well
saves on print material
can be printed without supports
can be printed with PLA, PETG, or other filaments.
requires just 5% infill
can be printed with large draft layer heights to save time
Tips:
Print the model with the narrower opening face down for a cleaner print.
Add a brim to ensure good adhesion
Place the seam on the rear, away from the holes, for a clean look (optional)
If your circle sags, add an organic support. My prints have worked without support, however.
