Description
Someone complained that the OSSC had no proper shell - and I agreed. Given the current trends, I came up with this design.
Take a good look and you will notice many functional designs put in to this model.
Can't really call it "proper" but have fun!
=====Make Notes=====
Please slice and print with a 0.4mm nozzle.
The shroud part is printed upright with support.
The clam part should be printed with the front opening facing up. Make sure you block out questionable mid-air supports when printing the clam part. They will fail and make a mess (but hopefully won't break the model itself).
The rest of the models all have at least one orientation suitable for printing.
I used M3 hex socket head cap screws for assembly.
When putting it together, put the switch and buttons into the shroud first, then fit the HDMI end of the OSSC PCB into the ports on the shroud piece, then flex the other end over the D-Sub connector and snap into place.
When putting on the clam, set the power switch to ON position before trying. The switch head will get caught by the LCD screen groove and the logo light path groove. You'll need to set it free and help it go into the power switch hole by flipping it into the OFF position once the switch head is near there.
The rest of assembly is pretty straight forward.
Update:
If your print started peeling off from the bed, you may want to try the one with the stud. Please remember to cut off the studs with a side cutter afterwards, otherwise you won't be able to assemble it.
