Gaggia Classic 12 mm (1/4 original height) Low Profile Drip Tray

This is a low profile drip tray designed for Gaggia Classic. It's 1/4 the height of the original drip tray at only about 12 mm high, and fit completely within the original drip tray foot print. The original grate is used with this drip tray. It maximize the capacity within its dimensions. The tray can hold about 180 ml water, which is still more than enough for over 20 solenoid discharges. The drip tray also accommodates the machines feet protrusion so the tray can sit completely horizontal, and will not easily slide out of the machine by accident.

The main tray contains two parts for easy printing. There are also built in thin walls for the top piece. After printing, these built-in supports can be easily removed. See the photos for details.

An extension for the drain pipe is included. It will snap into the hole in the original grate. It is intentionally large in diameter so that you can just leave it on and tilt the grate to clear the pipe when removing the drip tray.
