Slotted Screwtop Passthru

A passthrough for a case, panel, or bulkhead with a screw cap and is slotted so the cap can provide a degree of weather protection while a cable is in place.  The body has a 27mm ID.  The model uses a nominal M33x2 thread.   The model includes a body, screw cap, hex nut, and star nut.

As of 12/28/2025, I updated the model to include two versions, short and long.   The short version has a roughly 8x8mm opening with 2 threads engaged in the cap.   The long version has a roughly 8x12mm opening with 2 threads engaged in the cap.

Pictures show a 12awg pair & Starlink Mini power cable exiting through the long version passthrough.  The cap engages multiple threads when installed with the cables in place.

I also added provison for use of a length of 3.2mm beaded chain for cap retension.  This provision includes addition of new cap versions with a recess for chain end and a retainer component to be glued or taped to the container wall.   Use the recess with a bit of glue should secure the  bead chain end to the component.

A 0.2 (or smaller) layer height is recommended for thread quality.
