Description
Bandsaw blade alignment involves adjusting the blade so that the deepest part of the blade gullet is centered on the crown of the tire. This tool simplifies the adjustment by making it easy to see when the gullet is centered.
This tool was made for use on a Rikon 14” Model 10-326 bandsaw which has a 1-1/16” (27mm) tire width (but the included FreeCAD file can be used to adjust the tool to any required width).
To adjust the width: Open the FreeCAD file, select the Model tab, double click on the Spreadsheet and enter the required “Bandsaw tire width” in mm. The model will automatically update to the required dimension (plus a 0.4mm gap). Use the Mesh workbench to create a mesh from the shape and then export the mesh to create an STL file.
Printed using PLA with default settings. Best printed in white because it will be more reflective and show the blade position more clearly.
