Description

This model represents a highly detailed old wooden dock, inspired by weathered piers and rustic waterfront structures. The dock has been carefully designed to capture the irregularity and character of aged wood, including uneven planks, worn support beams, and natural imperfections that give it a realistic and atmospheric look.

The structure is ideal as a static display piece, perfect for dioramas, tabletop scenery, scale models, wargaming environments, or nautical-themed displays. Its neutral and realistic design makes it suitable for multiple scales and settings, from harbors and lakes to fantasy or historical scenes.

This model is not functional and is intended purely for decorative and display purposes.

You can freely scale the model in your slicer to match your project or scene requirements.

3D printing settings

The model is designed to be easy to print while maintaining a high level of detail.

🟣 Resin Printer Recommendations

  • Ideal for maximum detail and surface quality

  • Hollow the model to reduce resin usage and weight

  • Add drain holes to prevent trapped resin

Use light to medium supports, especially under planks and beams

Handle carefully after printing, as thin wooden elements can be delicate

🟠 FDM Printer Recommendations

  • Recommended layer height: 0.2 mm or lower

  • 10–15% infill is sufficient for static display

  • Enable supports where necessary, especially for overhangs under the dock

  • Print at slower speeds to preserve wood texture details

Anyway, for best results and maximum realism, printing this model with a resin 3D printer is highly recommended. Resin printing allows for finer details, sharper wood textures, and a more realistic surface finish.
