Description
I was looking for a good solution to make the focuser motor work with my Samyang 135mm lens on the OAT. I decided to just design my own. I think this ended up working well.
There are two sets of rings, small and large. The small rings attach around the base of the lens, the larger ones attach nearest the end of the lens. This was designed to use heated inserts for plastics. Simply press them in using a soldering iron, you don't need much heat.
Attach the rings to the top bracket and the Arca Swiss bracket. One side should act as “hinges” while the other clamps together using the thumb screws (See the attachment for a better idea how this goes together). Wrap the belt around the pulley and the focus collar on the lens. Use the small clamp to clamp the belt tight.
