Description
This is a simple support bracket or column with a base/foot that has bottom-side tabs/posts that fit in the 'alternating brick' hole pattern venting used in the Phanteks XT Pro Ultra PC case. It is specifically used with an AMD brand graphics card, which is somewhat heavy and bulky, and which tended to sag, putting added stress on the connectors. This bracket holds up the unsupported free-floating end of the graphics card. The bracket is held in place by the tabs that fit into the venting holes and by the weight of the graphics card pushing down on the bracket. It is installed by gently lifting up the graphics card while positioning the bracket in place. The bracket should be printed with supports, standing upright; the required supports are minimal and fairly easy to remove. I printed with Basic White PLA at 100% infill and 0.20mm layer height.
I am uploading this design mainly so that others can see if this type of design could help with their computers that might have a similar problem. This model is specific to the Phanteks case, used with a specific AMD graphics card, which is installed in the 2nd & 3rd PCI slots. Variations to any of these three parameters will likely make it so that this model is not the desired height.
UPDATE 2025-12-29: I uploaded the base/foot by itself, without the column, in case someone wants to make their own bracket, but incorporate the custom base/foot.
