Description
This is a Case for Crimper Die/jaws with content fixation.
Suitable for Crimper Die/jaws with holes without cutouts.
The sizes of different Die/jaws manufacturers are slightly different. Make sure that your size fits. The distance between the edges of the holes is in the range of 28-30 mm. The width is in the range of 36-38 mm. The height from the center of the hole to the base is 16 mm. Die/jaws thickness is up to 6 mm. The hole height is 4 mm.
I chose the distance between the centers for the locks to be 24 mm and 3 mm in diameter. This allows you to hold Die/jaws with size deviations.
It is made in three versions:
For 3 pieces
For 5 pieces
For 10 pieces
For assembly, you will need:
countersunk bolt M3*10-20 mm (3-4 pieces, depending on the version you choose)
screws M2,5*10-20 mm 2 pieces
The countersunk bolt should connect the upper and lower parts of the case.
Screws are needed to connect the push button and the push rod to the locks.
I was typing from PETG. I think other plastics are also suitable for printing body parts, but the spring should be printed from flexible and durable plastics, and PETG is very suitable for this.
For 3 PCS
For 5 PCS
For 10 PCS
There are 3 springs with different degrees of elasticity to choose from.
In fact, the "Low load" spring is a good choice. I made the rest of the springs in case someone lacks rigidity.
The button should be printed with supports, as there is a groove for positioning the pusher during assembly.
Print everything else without support.
The pusher locks hang in the air at a height of 0.2 mm. No support is required for this. The printer (at least mine) does a great job with it and it doesn't affect the work in any way.
To print the spring, add brim.
After I put everything together, it occurred to me that maybe I should have added holes for hanging on the wall, but if necessary, someone can make a remix.
I did not use the countersunk bolt on the bottom side, because there is not enough thickness on the top for good fixation, and with increasing thickness, the height of the Die/jaws for finger grip would decrease.
