Description
While you can use any 10 inch shelf (flipped upside down as the UNAS is slightly taller than the width of 10 inch rack rails), I wanted something a little more purpose built. I designed this shelf specifically to hold the UNAS 2 and keep it from sliding around too much. It is still just a shelf, and does not securely hold the NAS, but it has edges that wrap around the NAS a bit to keep it in place. It is also only as deep as needed - I have other equipment behind it that a typical deep shelf would interfere with.
Print as oriented without supports if your printer is calibrated well for overhangs and bridges (otherwise tree supports are recommended). Print with at least 4 walls, 4 top/bottom layers, infill doesn't matter too much as even with both drive bays occupied the UNAS 2 doesn't weigh all that much.
With this shelf plus the width of the UNAS 2 (laying sideways) it takes up 4U of space. You will need to install the shelf first (leaving 3U of space above it), then angle in the UNAS and place it on the shelf.
