Description
Bill of materials:
This adjustable 2.5" drive case is a cheap way to protect a drive you don't want to buy a proper case for. It's very secure and allows the addition of foam/sponge between the drive and the lid for extra security (I've seen this in commercial HDD cases). This design is also print-optimized, meaning it doesn't have sharp edges and should have no issues sticking, but also that it requires as little material as possible while still being rigid and protecting the drive.
You can adjust the drive thickness in the User Parameters section in Fusion360, as well as the heated inserts' outer diameter. Some other parts you might want to adjust are the screw head diameter and the thickness/width of your SATA converter cable, though I didn't assign parameters to those.
