Description
3D‑Printed EV Charge Cord Cradle in ABS with typical settings (flat end mounted down on plate):
This Cradle mounts around a 4" OD steel garage support pipe to keep EV charging cords tidy, accessible, and out of the way. The long cords wrap around the Cradles, so they stay close to the pole, and the plug end hangs freely for quick access—often without needing to unwrap the cord.
Each set uses two Cradles bolted together around the pole with #10‑24 × 1" screws and hex nuts, which sit recessed in molded cavities. The design fits cords up to 5/8" OD (Level 2 cord shown).
I use two cords—Level 1 on one side and Level 2 on the other—so I installed two Cradles at the top and two at the bottom to manage both. If you only have one cord, you only need one side: print two Cradles and two backing rings to save material.
The Cradle could possibly also be used for other applications for cord management.
The printed screw holes need to be drilled out with a 3/16" drill for screw clearance.
