Description
I really liked the double silicone wiper mods for my XL, but there was one major flaw. The pegs would always snap off during a print when there are many tool changes. I would examine and see all the broken pegs sitting on the bottom of the printer. Material didn't matter. 100% infill didn't matter.
So, if you want things done right, you have to do it yourself. I wanted a couple of enhancements.
Single Screw to mount on the extrusion.
A placement guide to make it easy to align.
Some way to reinforce the pegs so they won't be breaking all the time.
I solved this issue by installing M2-12 screws into the pegs from the bottom. Now the pegs stay on, no matter how many times it gets hit by the nozzle.
