Description
This is a remix of the excellent dirty/clean dishwasher sign by Printess.  It differs in that the base is printed vertically with two colors of filament, with the color changing midway up at about 45mm.  That way, the dirty and clean masks can be made to display a font that differs in color as per the photos shown here.  Consequently, it is multi-multi color :-).  Also, the cover now covers the entire sides of the base so that the multi-color base is hidden.
I suggest using 8mm N52 magnets since weaker magnets may not be sufficiently strong.  I got mine from eBay at https://www.ebay.com/itm/293630703557. Be sure to order 8mmx3mm N52 discs.
I printed using PLA and PETG filaments since the colors I wanted were available that way. All parts were printed using 0.2mm layers.
For the base, I printed vertically with red first and then switching to green at half way up (45 mm). Of course, you can pick whichever colors best fit your need.Â
For the other parts, I printed flat on the surface again using colors as desired. Â
For the Dirty and Clean signs, I found that placing them face-down resulted in shaper and better appearance than face up.Â
Parts fit together snugly and, especially for the "dirty" and "clean" masks, some extra pressure may be necessary to seat the parts in place. Â
In the case of the flat base, for the three magnet holes, first insert one each into the base holes with the polarity in parallel facing the same direction so that the magnet placed into the slider will be attracted in the same way to both of the base magnets. Then place the magnet in the slider so that it is attracted to the ones in the base from the indicator side. The magnets will be very tight and extra force may be necessary to insert them.  Double check the polarities prior to insertion since removal is nearly impossible.  Â
In the case of the angled base, for the three magnet holes, first insert two each into the base holes with the polarity in parallel facing the same direction so that the magnet placed into the slider will be attracted in the same way to both of the base magnets. Then place the magnet in the slider so that it is attracted to the ones in the base from the indicator side. The magnets will be very tight and extra force may be necessary to insert them.  Double check the polarities prior to insertion since removal is difficult. If removal is necessary , there are small holes into which a 1-2 mm hex key can be inserted to push out the magnets.
Once assembled, it should be a simple matter to identify a spot on your dishwasher were the indicator can be magnetically installed.
Enjoy!
