Description
The standard fence guide of the Mafell Erika tables comes with a peculiar milling groove at both ends. In my case the groove is useless and prevents fixing the fence with a clamp at the end of the fence.
To use it as a parallel guide fence you'll need also an extension on one end, because the fence guide is only as long as the saw table. See also my insert for the milling groove
So I designed an insert with the same profile as the fence, which completes and extends the fence with all the necessary T-slots.
The extension can be attached by only pressing it into the fence profile. I use it with the old regular parallel guide - which is no longer available at the official Mafell store. But for all who already have it in the workshop, this is a very useful addition.
For your own design you can find models of the fence profile here
The model is designed just for one side. For the second, just mirror a copy in your slicer.
I recommend strong materials for printing, because it is a subject to high mechanical stress. My parts for the tablesaw are usually printed from carbon- or glas-fibre reinforced nylon.
