Description
I've modeled an alternative to a 270 degree hinge for the CC, since I don't have a tonne of room on the left hand side of my printer. I modeled a cavity to insert a 3mm rod along the whole length of the slides, but it seems strong enough without it. Printed in Polymaker PLA-HT-GF at 0.2mm later height, 25% adaptive cubic infill, 3 walls, 5 top and bottom layers. PETG also works well, and is actually a bit slicker for easer slide operation. For assembly: Use M3x8mm countersunk screws in the holes within the slides to attach them to the chassis (One on top, two on bottom). Countersunk screws are also used to attach the optional build plate storage. The other M3 screws can use whatever head you want/have as clearance isn't an issue for them.
Additional hardware used:
- (4) 608 Bearings
- (4) M5 x 16mm Countersunk Screws
- (4) M5 Nuts
- (2) M4 x 30mm Socket Head Cap Screws
- (2) M4 nuts
- (4) M3 x 16mm Countersunk Screws (cut down to 14mm)
- (4) M3 x 8mm Countersunk Screws
- (2) M3 x 6mm Countersunk Screws
- (2) M3 x 8mm Button Head Screws
- (1) M3 x 16mm Button head Screw
- (4) M3 Nuts
- (2) 3mm x 400mm (15.75") (Optional)
This it the first model I've ever uplaoded, so I hope others in the community find it useful!
