This model is a replacement part for the worn-out plastic sliders (shoes) inside the door check mechanism of the Opel / Vauxhall Astra H.

If your car door fails to hold open at the predefined stops or makes a loud "clicking/cracking" noise when opening and closing, the original plastic inserts inside the check arm are likely worn down or broken. Instead of buying a completely new mechanism, you can print and replace just these plastic sliders.

These parts sit on the spring mechanism inside the metal housing and provide the necessary friction to hold the door.

Print Settings & Recommendations:

• Material*: ABS, ASA, or Nylon (PA) is highly recommended.

• Warning: Do not use PLA. It will likely deform due to the high heat inside the car door during summer and wears out quickly due to friction. PETG may work but is less durable than ABS for this specific mechanical load.

• Infill: 100% (Solid). This part undergoes significant compression force.
