Description
Made to hold a door closed, so hook is set at 90 degrees. I may upload a 180 version later for something like a trunk lid that needs hook and latch to be parallel. Also hook only has the 2 screws, restricted by my use case. If you're interested in other setups, let me know.
make sure the hook is mounted low enough that the "loop" passes the center pivot, or it won't snap closed (must pass center for the over-center to work.)
hardware:
1 m5x25 countersink
1 m5 hex nut
4 m3x8 countersink
7 screws/countersink bolts for mounting
model as is uses an m5x25 countersink at the main pivot, and I pressed the nut down flush with a soldering iron to keep it in place and keep the loop from catching it. it also makes a handy lock-nut with the plastic that oozes into the hole...
UPDATES:
Hook v0.41 fixes the awkward chamfer on the tip
Alternate version is simpler and uses less hardware, but made for specific offsets:
NOTES:
Works well scaled up to 120%, as well. just use m6x30 as pivot, and m4s for securing the handle brace
