Description
This is a color ID band for the Phenyx Pro handheld wireless mics. Â It works with the PTU-7000, but it also probably works with many of their other handheld mics (i.e. PTU-71, PTU-6000, PTU-5000, PTU-4000, PTU-52, PTU-5200, PTU-4200, PDP-1, PDP-2, etc.). Â It installs just below the wire mesh screen on the mic capsule, and it fits tightly so that it won't rattle as the mic is moved / handled. Â It was also designed to use very little material: Â roughly 1 gram if printed using my settings (see below).
Installation is very simple. Â Just unscrew the mesh screen, insert the ring with the larger diameter side facing the top of the mic, then screw the mesh screen back on (as shown in the pictures).
This can be printed in either rigid or flexible material. Â Here are the materials and settings I used:
PLA Basic and PLA HS material (210 degrees nozzle, 60 degrees bed)
2 wall loops (or shells)
15% infill (cubic)
3 bottom layers
5 top layers
I printed it with a brim, but you may be able to get away without one.
Please pardon me if the metal screen in the pictures looks a bit wonky. Â Apparently someone dropped this mic and bent it. Â The band seats tightly without interfering with the fit of the screen to the mic body.
This ID band is a great complement to the color caps you can find at the below two links.
