Description

This is a 2 AA battery powered Minecraft night light with TNT theme.

Some soldering and glueing is needed. This is not a multicolor print, so you only will need to change filament for the TNT text.

BOM:

  • 4x M3x6 Screw

  • 1x KCD11-101 Rocker Switch 10x15mm

  • 1x 8mm Warm White Straw Hat LED

  • 1x Battery Holder for 2 AA Batteries

  • A piece of wire

  • Shrink sleeve or isolating tape

  • CA glue

  • JET lighter

  • Pliers

Assembly

  1. Print out all parts. The text part print 4times with filament change. Print the caps 16x. (As seen in BGCODE)

  2. Take the LED and put it s legs thru the hole in the LED holder and attach it with CA glue.

  3. Put the shrink sleeve on the red wire from battery holder.

  4. Solder the longer LED leg to the red wire from battery holder.

  5. Take a piece of wire and solder it to the shorter leg of the LED. Also put the shrink sleeve on it.

  6. Move the sleeves on the contacts and heat it to shrink.

  7. Bend the legs alongside the LED holder.

  8. Take the rocker switch and fit it to the bottom part thru the bottom of it. You may need to do it with some force

  9. Glue the battery holder to the bottom part with CA glue.

  10. Solder the lose wire from the shorter LED leg to the one contact of a switch.

  11. Solder the black wire from the battery holder to the other contact of a switch

  12. Use pliers to carefully bend the contacts of a switch. Be careful, the contact should NOT touch.

  13. Put the batteries in the holder and try to turn on the switch. If everything is OK proceed to next step.

  14. Glue the LED holder to the small holding parts in the shell.

  15. Close the bottom part to the shell part and use the screws to hold it. The screws will tap the thread, so be careful not to overtighten them.

  16. Now it is time to glue the TNT text.

  17. Put some drops of CA glue on the text piece and glue it in the middle of the shell. You can use another text piece as a stand for the text piece, you are glueing. Repeat this four times.

  18. Glue the caps to the top of the shell using few drops of CA glue. Do NOT glue the holes.

  19. Take some filament and cut 16 pieces of it of lenght cca 17cm.

  20. Put the filament with some force into the small holes on top starting from the middle.

  21. Use jet lighter to carefully heat the filament to bend it to the middle of the lamp.

  22. Repeat this with the remaining filaments.

  23. When all filaments are bent to the middle facing upwards, take a rubberband to secure the top of filament bulk and use jet lighter to carefully heat the filament bulk under the rubber band.

  24. After it is heated skew the filament to fuse it with each other.

  25. Let coll a bit and then cut with cuttig pliers.

  26. ???

  27. Profit :D

  28. Enjoy your TNT lamp :)
