Doctor Tenma : Monster : Manga

Made this for my son who adores this series.

For models where I use AI.  Follow the directions below to get detailed figurines made from incomplete pics.

AI toolchain starts with upscaling the incomplete body shot from the book cover using (Flux1dev.upscale)upscaled pic is then fed into ( https://huggingface.co/spaces/linoyts/Qwen-Image-Edit-2511-Fast ) I with prompt that tells it to complete the figure with legs and shoes that dr Tenma wears in the manga series.  That pic is then upscaled a second time in flux1dev.upscale.

The second part of the Toolchain is in this case https://www.tripo3d.ai/ Tripos Pic to AI.  I basically fed the upscaled qwen image edit into the pic to ai and it did its magic.

The Third part of the the toolchain is adding the uv displacement in blender (edit mesh clean up merge by distance fill holes (0).  then subdivion in edit mode or modify generate subdivision.  (it depends on how large the mesh is.  IF its over 300,000 then use subdivision in edit mode. (edge/subdivide).  Then modify deform displace... (watch my videos on this).  This step will add details like the buttons, creases, eye details, ..... well just all the details in general).

The 4th part of the toolchain is Remeshing the model... scale the model so its largest axis is no more than 100m which really translates to 100mm on my blender setup.. Then YOU MUST APPLY THE CTL-A Apply ALL TRANSFORMS.  Then Remesh... its default settings should work. If your model does not turn into ghost particles your good to go.

Dont decimate yet.

The 5th part of the tool chain takes the longest and that is just sculpting things that need to be sculpting in Blender.  Eyes, noses, folds, odd floating things, generally need help.  Noses are usually wonky, eyes are usually offset unnaturally, things that are in shadows cause unwanted lines... they are all easy to fix in sculpt mode.

Save your work

The 6th step is Decimating and Fixing.  I use both 3d print toolbox, and MeshRepair... add ons and easy to find and install. Decimate first... then use 3d print toolbox and then use MeshRepair in that order.  YOU WILL THANK ME LATER.

Export as .obj -> Prusaslicer ( I usually plain cut the bottom so its flat here but you can also do this in blender using a cube to boolean difference the bottom).  save as .3mf export as .stl export as .obj again if need be) slice with orgainic supports... yada yada...

your done.
