Description
Unsatisfied with the limitations and individual costs of Proslat mounting hooks, I reverse-engineered the EGO battery to create a secure, seamless holder designed specifically for Proslat walls.
Two variants are provided:
Single-body (one-piece) print – Printed as a single, integrated part that requires no additional hardware (i.e., no fasteners). This option will require some level of print supports.
Multi-body (multi-piece) print – Consists of multiple parts that assemble using M3 countersunk screws and heat-set inserts. This is my recommended and preferred option. While it requires slightly more time, material, and additional equipment, it results in a stronger and more robust final assembly.
The instructions below outline the required steps for the multi-body version.
Instructions (Multi-body):
Insert three (3) heat-set inserts into the chamfered side of each wing assembly.
Each holder uses two wings, for a total of six heat-set inserts.
Using M3 × 12 mm countersunk screws, attach the wings to the main body of the holder.
Ensure the chamfers on the wings face outward, toward the edges of the main body. This orientation helps the battery align more easily during initial engagement.
Materials (Multi-body):
Fasteners: M3 x 12 mm countersink (qty 6)
M3 heatserts (qty 6)
