Description
I created this housing for an AmazonBasics Dimmer switch (https://amzn.eu/d/hr5qsvP) to use with a table lamp: I added it in-line to its power cable and, while a bit bulky, means I can move the lamp wherever and still dim it.
To install the switch in the housing, install the wires, then insert the switch in the housing, fix up the cables and tie them to the strain relief blocks at the sides with a zip tie. Screw the switch into the housing at the top and bottom with M3 screws, at least 8mm long. Chamfered holes at the top and bottom make it easier to thread into the plastic, but the model can be edited to fit heated inserts.
Added STEP file for easier modification which contains a simple overall design of the switch as well.
