Description
I developed a custom 3D‑printable case for the SKR 1.4 Turbo mainboard, with active cooling for the first two TMC drivers and to support DIN‑rail mounting for clean, modular installation. The design focuses on reliability, airflow efficiency, and professional cable organization, making it suitable for both compact printer builds and larger control cabinets.
Targeted driver cooling A dedicated airflow path and fan mount deliver focused cooling to the first two TMC drivers, ensuring stable performance during high‑current or fast‑motion operation.
DIN‑rail compatibility Integrated DIN‑mount clips allow the enclosure to snap securely onto standard rails, enabling quick installation, easy repositioning, and a clean, service‑friendly electronics layout.
Compact, functional geometry The case maintains a tight footprint while still offering enough internal space for cable routing, connector access, and strain relief.
Optimized for FDM printing All surfaces and features are shaped to avoid unnecessary overhangs, ensuring reliable prints on most machines without support material.
Secure board mounting Built‑in standoffs and screw points hold the SKR 1.4 Turbo firmly in place, minimizing vibration and simplifying maintenance.
