Description

Hello!

I needed a better way to position a small digital photo frame/tablet in my studio workspace. I wanted it mounted above one of my monitors, hanging neatly from the underside of a shelf — so I designed this simple mounting solution to make that possible.

This upload includes 3 models:

1) Tablet Holder

Designed to hold a 7–8 inch digital photo frame or small tablet.
✅ Supports recommended (due to overhang)

2) Back Plate

Connects the Tablet Holder to the Wall Mount.
✅ No supports needed

3) Wall Mount

Attaches the complete setup to a wall or shelf and connects to the Back Plate + Holder.
✅ No supports needed

🔧 Assembly / Hardware Notes

Wall Mount → Back Plate Connection

To connect the Wall Mount to the Back Plate, you will need:

  • A bolt

  • A washer

  • A nut (or matching threaded fastener depending on what you use)

Once connected, you can adjust the angle/rotation to the position you want, then tighten it down to lock it in place.

Back Plate → Tablet Holder Connection

To attach the Back Plate to the Tablet Holder, I recommend using:

  • Small bolts + nuts
(You may also be able to use small screws depending on your setup, but bolts/nuts will give the best strength and hold.)

🧩 Optional Fit Improvement (More Advanced)

For an even tighter and more secure fit (and to help protect your screen), you can add a soft contact layer such as:

  • Small strips of rubber

  • A thin piece of TPU (either printed pads or a cushion layer)

This is optional, but it can make the holder feel more snug and reduce any slipping or vibration.

🔮 Future Additions

At some point, I plan to upload additional versions of the Tablet Holder, including:

  • Adjustable holders for easier tablet insertion/removal

  • Fixed-tab variants for smaller or larger tablets

I hope this helps — enjoy! 😊

Chris
