Description
If you wish to use TPU filament for your Creality K1 or K1C printer, you need to feed the filament directly into the printhead from above the printer.
This spool holder can be printed on the Creality 22x22 cm print plate in two parts. The corners need support but its easy to remove after printing. It is a fairly simple print job, even if it takes a few hours.
You dont need any screws, bearings, or a lid riser. Just assemble the parts and there you go.
The upper part can be used as a stand alone spool holder.
Update: There are now two versions of the spool holder, one of which has support for adding a brake using a cord and a rubber band, to avoid the spool spinning out of control. I have not needed this, but it may be nice to have when printing large objects with long horizontal travels of the printhead.
IMPORTANT: You must set "X-Y contour compensation" to -0.15 mm for the parts to join. This is the setting that works for me with PETG.
When printing TPU, set low speed for the printing and in particular the travel speed of the printhead. This is important when printing large objects, so the printhead does not pull the filament too hard, and also to avoid vibrations of the TPU model.

Some pictures are early versions - details only.
I did this because I needed it myself, and I am very happy with it. So why not share it. I hope it works for you as well! It probably looks better in grey or black, maybe you can show me...
