Description
When you put a Tag-Connect cable on a PCB, you can push this clip onto the three "alignment" pins on the reverse side of the PCB, to hold the Tag-Connect connector in place. This is especially useful for the "no-legs" variants of the Tag-Connect cables.
Our PCB designs are typically densely populated, and the Tag-Connect connectors with "legs" are impractical due to the extra space they need. That is why I created these simple clips.
When printed in PETG, these last for about 50 to 100 clip-ons and clip-offs, before the holes wear out. But most often, since they are so small, I loose them well before they wear out. In any case, I recommend a bright colour (so they stand out), and to keep a handful of spares.
The design is in OpenSCAD (also provided in the downloads). Crispus created a variant for the 10-pin TC2050 Tag-Connect cable. His changes are merged in the OpenSCAD script.
