Description
I designed this simple cylindrical lampshade to provide a quick and easy solution for open lamp bases where a bare bulb might be too harsh. The model is intentionally very thin, printed with just a couple of layers to allow for a nice, soft light diffusion without blocking too much brightness. It is a straightforward, no-frills design that fits right over a standard lamp socket to give the light a more finished and comfortable look.
For the best results, I recommend using white or transparent filament. This allows the light to glow through the material evenly. In my photos, I used a black socket because that was what I had available, but if your lamp base is white, you will likely get even better light distribution as the base will help reflect light back down. This is a very easy print that requires no supports or special adjustments, making it a practical project for anyone wanting to improve their home lighting with a clean, functional design.
