Description
Screw driver handles for screw driver bits (I had a bunch of long metric allen keys that I wanted to turn into drivers).
Each screw driver handle has space for a 12x3mm magnet at the base and a 6x3 magnet at the top to hold the bit in place.
The stand (pictured in gray) also has spaces for 12 x 3mm magnets.
Driver handles slide back into place with a satisfying "click" :)
I printed each handle a different colour to make tools easy to find on cluttered workbenches... yet nice to look at when they are properly put away.
Handles were printed with the following settings:
- Printed in ASA (other materials like PETG and PLA should be fine)
- Settings for handle:
>> printed with 5 walls, 5 top and bottom layers, 55% infill.
>> modifier was used (35mmx35mmx60mm cylinder) to create texture with "fuzzy skin" option in the slicer. Also reduced the infill percentage to 15% for that portion of the handle.
>> see picture of slicer
>> NO supports are needed
Settings for Base:
4 top and bottom layers and 20% infill.
As pictured, printed in matte gray PLA.
Two bases were posted, one with labels for metric driver bits and another with no labels if you want to add your own custom labels.
Enjoy!
Please post makes, I love seeing them and it encourages me to publish more of my designs for free to the community!
Cheers,
Dan
