Round Raspberry Pi 4 Case

Another round Raspberry Pi 4 Case inspired by various smart home bridge designs.

Case is designed for PIs used as a server, for example home assistant. To keep a small footprint it makes use of a right angle USB-C adaptor. Only your rear IO is usable. The USB port space is somewhat limited by design as I only intent to use 1-2 USB sticks. I tested it with a Conbee II Zigbee Gateway. 

The case clips together without any screws or glue. You should use a small cable tie to secure the wire.

I tested for heat management with regular load and had no problems (62-72°C). I can imagine that it gets a little warm with constant heavy tasks. In that case add some taller feet or mount the case vertically to improve air circulation.

What do you need:

• USB-C right angle adaptor (maybe cable with right angle plug works too)
• USB-C cable that routes into the box
• 4 short M2.5 x 5mm Screws for mounting the pi (maybe M2 works as well)
• cable tie as strain relieve 
• some type of rubber or foam feet

Printing Tip:

use concentric bottom fill pattern for case-top for a beautiful brushed finish
