Description
Not much to it, except avoid PLA (first sponge holder I made in PLA didn't last long from being exposed to water I guess, PETG lasted for a few years without issue, before deciding to toss it and make a fresh one and a new design)
I would recommend printing all walls (needs 7), instead of sparse infill.
likely a good idea to heat treat it or cover it in food grade resin.
I live in a dry place so mold is harder to grow accidentally, so just using it as is
My dishwasher airgap cap is about 44mm in diameter so that's what this is. STEP included if you need to tweak that.
Mine doesn't actually go all the way down, friction stopped it 5mm or so above the sink surface, but better that way anyway to avoid it standing in water.
edge of the cap to the sink was about 26mm, so that the sponge is entirely above the sink
sponge rectangular area is 120x80mm
this is the sponge I use: https://amzn.to/3NiURoe
