Description
This spool holder adapter is designed specifically for the Geeetech M1 and M1S to offset the spool position and allow the use of standard 1 kg filament spools, which do not fit well on the stock holder without colliding with the USB- and Power-Connectors.
By shifting the spool backward, this adapter improves clearance, reduces rubbing on the frame, and provides smoother filament feeding.
Compatible with Geeetech M1 and M1S
Reuses the original spool holder for less material use
Supports standard 1 kg filament spools
Simple press-fit / bolt-on installation (no permanent modifications)
Improves filament flow and reduces drag
Compact and sturdy design with built in support structures
Use some needle nose pliers to remove the 4 support pieces
Remove the original spool holder.
Attach this adapter to the existing mounting and turn it counter clockwise until it snaps in place
Insert the original spool holder to the adapter and twist it, until it snaps in place
I've provided a Orca Slicer profile and to be used directly on the M1 / M1S with PLA - just load it and fire it up - a profile for Bambu Studio alswell as the raw model geometry is also provided.
Material: PLA is sufficient
Layer Height: 0,2 mm
Infill: 10 % cross hatch or gyroid
Perimeters: 3 walls
Top/Bottom Layers: 4 - 5
Orientation: Print flat on the build plate
The supports are built in directly in CAD - the slicer will probably warn you, that the model has floating regions - this is intended, since the support structure will have 0,2 mm spacing and "float", so they don't fuze to the model. If you want an ultra clean look, you can load the raw geometry, disable the support bodies and use your own preferred support method.
