Description
The Stealthchanger Dock is a bit too complex for my needs and involves an excessive number of parts. I am looking for a simpler, more minimalist, yet reliable docking solution for my XOL ToolHeads.
This is still very much a work in progress! I’d love for the community to get involved in the development—your feedback and ideas are highly appreciated as we refine this docking system.
To simplify the printing process and avoid challenging supports, the dock is split into two parts designed to be glued together after printing.
This only works with the XOL 3010 Hotened fan model.
You will need two aluminium spacers 3.1 mm ID, 5mm OD, 8mm long and two m3 washer as stoppers.
Alternatively, the spacers could be printed, but I haven't tested that.
The heat insert for the m3 adjustment screw needs to be implemented after gluing the two dock parts together and pushed as far as possible into the hole.
The hollowing out of the nozzle rest has to be filled with heat-resistant silicon. This will prevent the hotend from oozing.
