Cable Car college project design

This is a project I had in college, to make a transportation mean which would have been effective and safe for a small area with low population. I did get a good grade due to good looking designs, but looking back, PLEASE, do not reinvent trains, cable cars or simple cars (yes, message to the tech bros which try to propose that reusing of the train rails projects every now and then), whatever we have already is THE MOST effective type of it in its kind. Slight modifications can be made, but not an overhaul.

This is for you to look at and say: what a stupid idea, or, what a stupid way to spend 108 hours on.
