Tom By TomTom car mount

This is a two-part 3D-printable holder that accepts the original TomTom magnetic car mount (the small magnetic plate that comes with the Tom device) and clamps onto a car air vent. It lets you avoid sticking the magnetic base to your dashboard. The two parts join with a printed thread — you can screw them together for adjustment and glue them for a permanent assembly.

Recommended printing settings

• Material: PETG (recommended). PLA will work, but is less heat-resistant and less durable in cars.

• Layer height: 0.16 mm (recommended)

• Nozzle: 0.4 mm typical

• Infill: 20–30% (grid or gyroid)

• Perimeters / walls: 3-4 perimeters for strength
