ABUS Door Closer TS40 Cover

This is a slide on cover to conceal (with a colour of your choice or paint) an ABUS Door Closer TS40 door closer. I wanted a door closer that I could disable with ease but I also wanted it to be easy on the eye. I have included an optional Cap that snaps on the hinged end to conceal the bracket as much as possible.

• Easy to install, slides on from adjustment end (tight enough to avoid slippage or squeaks)

• Lip added to make the install process around the retaining pin easier

• Profiled to snap in place using the retaining pin location

• Covers the door closer screws with a slim profile

• Includes a cap to cover the bracket at the the hinged section for complete bracket concealment

• To remove, rotate the entire cover about 3-5 degrees clockwise to clear the retaining pin and pull/slide down the barrel of the mechanism

Test printed with PLA, infill gyroid 20%, 3 walls/perimeters and supports (just for the adjustment cap to main bracket). It was printed vertically with a 5mm brim. Worked well for 6 prints.

The door closer, Abus TS40, is sold as many other names with the same dimensions. From what I can tell this model will fit many other manufacturers and generic versions.

Some brands were Justor, Tyenaza, Kerfora, Gadpiparty Volo.
