Description
The Halo series, developed by Bungie, holds a special place in my heart. Halo was one of the first games I got on console when I was younger, and I’d followed the series and many of the books for far longer than I’d stuck with most others. I’d decided to look into what replicas I could 3D print from the series... but, many of them out there didn’t quite have the features that I wanted from the models, despite there being a TON of different models and renditions. So, here is my rendition of the M6C/SOCOM pistol from Halo 3 ODST. I designed and printed this a few years back and in continuing my trend for the new year, am releasing it into the world.
Notice: This is a non-firing replica. It cannot shoot.
If you want to check out my journey in designing and printing this replica, you can find that posted here.
Note: Several pieces use sacrificial bridging that will need to be cut out. As well, PC-01 (Receiver Body Barrel) requires supports for how it prints and I've included several STLs with integrated supports. The two PC-01 parts also use 1.75mm filament as alignment pins for gluing together.
There are a number of screws and springs in the assembly of the model; all parts can be found in the Exploded Diagram that is included. If you need help with assembling the slide, see my blog post above where I have photos of the assembly along with some description.
The flashlight I used in this print is the Nitefox K3 mini. I have included an STL file for a placeholder if needed.
